Pura Taman Ayun Temple The Royal Patron, The Beauty Of Mengwi

Bali indonesia -As the society very holds Hindu culture, Bali has many temples each have distinct.Many of the temple is not only a House of worship, but also become a touristattraction. One of these is Pura Taman Ayun. The temple is located in the village of Mengwi, Badung Regency, this saving the beauty of a series of terraced meru andfrom a distance it looks as if floating on the Lake.


In the past, Taman Ayun temple the mother (paibon) for the Kingdom of Mengwi. This temple was built by King of Mengwi I Gusti Agung Putu or Cokorda MilkyBlambangan (1690-1722 M) in the year 1634 Saka (approximately 1710 CE). The temple is destroyed by a major earthquake measuring 7 on the Richter scale on January 21, 1917. The temple is then experiencing twice the restoration. In 1937, the temple is undergoing a total restoration, while in 1949 just done repairs on candi bentar and kori agung.
